What we do

Four lines of work that meet in every project.

  1. Natural hazards

Seismology, tsunamis, volcanoes and hydrometeorology: observing and modelling hazards.

  2. Disaster information

Open inventories, databases and GIS to understand losses and impacts.

  3. Territory and vulnerability

Exposure studies, physical and functional vulnerability, and land-use planning.

  4. Community and early warning

Drills, training and warning systems built together with communities.
